Instruction Manual for the JG-1 Curve Protractor
I. Uses
JG-1 The type curve protractor is a miniature forestry measuring instrument primarily used to determine the basal area per hectare of standing trees in a forest stand. It features a novel, compact design, lightweight construction, ease of use, and automatic leveling capability.
II. Technical Parameters
1 The angle gauge rod is adjustable in length and features two scales.

III. Instructions for Use
When measuring the breast-height cross-sectional area of standing trees, extend the pull rod fully, or retract the two distal sections so that the distal end is close to the eye and aligned with the front sighting line. ( Upper end face of the indicator ) , as the slope changes, the marking line scans the groove, forming an intersecting width. B Align with the diameter at breast height of the standing tree to be measured. d Calculate the cross-sectional area for each tree one by one according to the values listed in the table below, and the cumulative cross-sectional area represents the total basal area of standing trees per hectare at breast height.
