The feng shui compass, also known as the luopan, luojing, luogeng, or luojing pan, is an essential measuring instrument used by feng shui masters during geomantic assessment to establish the central point and determine orientation.
The FS-80 laser theodolite and feng shui compass is suitable for a wide range of surveying tasks in mountainous and forested areas, including azimuth measurement, horizontal angle measurement, vertical angle measurement, elevation difference measurement, and distance measurement.
This type of Feng Shui compass is modified from a geological compass, which, with its functions of orientation and measurement, is highly suitable for the purposes of a Feng Shui compass. Designed using precision instrument manufacturing techniques and constructed entirely from aluminum alloy, the geological compass achieves a level of accuracy that fully meets the requirements of Feng Shui environmental assessment. In designing the Feng Shui dial, we adopted the principle used in geological compasses of reversing the east–west orientation; accordingly, the Feng Shui dial itself features a mirrored east–west reversal. Please do not question this—such dial configurations are standard practice in modern surveying instruments. With this improvement, users no longer need to physically rotate the compass during measurement; simply align the magnetic needle with the desired azimuth, and that direction will indicate the mountain and direction being measured, making the instrument both convenient to use and easy to master.
This product is a portable, three-dimensional electronic geological compass that provides real-time displays of azimuth, roll angle, and pitch angle. To facilitate field measurements, the instrument is equipped with GPS positioning, which shows the current latitude and longitude; it also measures atmospheric pressure, altitude, temperature, and relative height, making it an essential tool for geologists.
